Nice on these scorching hot Tennessee summers. They also have nice tent sites, with plenty of shade. There are a lot of pull through sites with full hookups. The sites are pretty private they’re not all on top of each other. Did you know that if you disturb a Bald or Golden Eagle in any way at all it’s $100,000 -$200,000 fine and a year in prison and that’s for your FIRST OFFENSE!! I’m going to add a couple photos the Rangers took and shared.Īnyway the campground is really nice. You can hear them at night they are very loud. The USACE closed several sites to give the Eagles some space. There is a family of nesting Bald Eagles in the park. They only had one site available for all week so I felt really lucky to get the last one. I made a weeklong reservation at Poole Knobs campground near Nashville. The expense was less in comparison to a hotel or motel, but the savings was not worth it compared to what we had to put up with. The rooms were barren of furniture other than the sofa sleepers needed to satisfy the number of people in each cabin. Nobody was available to speak to before or after the business hours of 10 to 3. We had to go to the office, which was only open from 10 am to 3 pm to ask for them. Our bathroom shower had no curtain or curtain rod. Everybody complained about the beds and back aches. One cabin had gaps around the window unit that allowed cold air in to the extent the blankets supplied were not sufficient. The only heat was from the unit in the main living room. The ovens in two of the five didn’t work. There was only one burner on the stove that worked in our cabin, as was similar in at least one of the five cabins we rented. The microwave ovens were working, but they must have gotten a deal on damaged microwaves as three of the five cabins we rented had damaged doors on the microwaves. Our cabin had a total of ten pieces of silverware of various types. The kitchen, which was billed as being supplied with very basic utensils and silverware, were poorly maintained. From tent camping to full RV hookups, lodging, we have it all!! Join us for one of our special events or visit any time.We rented cabins for a week in March 2023.
